17 Harsh Truths of Life That Will Blow Your Mind

Here are 17 harsh truths of life that will blow your mind:

  1. Life is fixable, but no one is going to fix your life. If your life is broken don't wait for someone else to come and fix it for you. The faster you fix your life, the faster you get ahead. The more time you linger on your problems, the more your brain goes tired, and the less you develop the brain to fix the problems.
  2. One thing to understand. Life will never be perfect. Why? Because you're supposed to be creative enough to make it perfect. You will never find a glass of juice already waiting for you in the orchard. In fact, you'll never find an orchard waiting for you to harvest fruits. You must plant the trees, wait for them to mature and bear fruit, then you can harvest the fruits, and finally, blend them into juice.
  3. The past is already lived. Don't re-live it. When the past is gone, you simple can't go back and re-live it, alter it, or do anything about it. The time you spend re-living your past is a complete waste of time and energy. Why squander your future when you have a great opportunity to live your future?
  4. You will fail - A lot. Schools teach you never to fail. Life teaches you that the only way to learn is to fail. Therefore the only way to succeed is to fail many times.
  5. When life seems to suck for you, remember there's another person sitting at the other end of the stick sucking all the juice. There's a truth in this. Everybody goes through a completely different life's journey. Life is an adventure where other people can help you but can't exactly live the same adventure. It's absolutely impossible to live the life of another person. Not even for identical twins.
  6. Perceptions do come true, sometimes. If you think there's an elephant in the room, there will be an elephant in the room. For most people, the thing they fear most, becomes reality. 90% of the things you fear most will not happen.
  7. No one is really ugly in this world. Beauty is in eye of the beholder. What you see depends on the lens you're looking through. Sometimes, the only thing you need to change is the lens, and everything will look beautiful. And remember, there's someone out there who has no eyes to see.
  8. Life is like Russian Roulette. You don’t know the chamber that has the live bullet. The secret to survive and win the game is to master the speed you spin the cylinder, and the timing, when you squeeze the trigger.
  9. Today is the best day to live your day. Not tomorrow, since there are no guarantees for tomorrow. In fact, you'll never enjoy life if you keep postponing your happiness until tomorrow.
  10. Live the 80/20 Rule. Remember, quality of life is better than quantity of things. Why carry baggage you don't need just to show people who don't give a damn?
  11. The greatest tragedy is to deny yourself all the indulgences of life only to succumb to the temptation when you’re old enough to be called a grandfather.
  12. Human beings will choose to accept what they want to accept instead of the truth because it’s less painful.
  13. The human mind is imaginative in many ways. Men use their imagination differently from women. For example, whereas women use their minds to imagine all sorts of things about a man, when they see one, like whether the man is capable of love, men use their internal x-ray system in their brains to scan a woman’s anatomy.
  14. Food comprises the biggest household budget. The truth is that all our lives we are continuously working hard day and night to make money, primarily to spend it on food, which eventually goes down the drain.
  15. The easiest thing to do in life is to live in the comfort zone while avoiding the painful “courage zone”. The fear to take risk is just too much for our little minds to accept, which is why most people prefer the road travelled by everybody else instead of the painful road that leads to riches.
  16. Time is money. This statement is more true than you think. Every second you waste equals money lost. The reason you're poor is because you've never understood this important principle.
  17. Most people prefer the get-rich-slow path to wealth because that’s the most comfortable way to feed the mind. For this reason, they believe it will take them 20 years to become rich. Others just give up on the idea because nobody has convinced them there’s another way. Others actually believe it and become millionaires in less than a year.
